Thank you!!!

Thank you so much Fantastic Ford Parents for a WONDERFUL Art Show at our Evening in the Garden event. We had fantastic volunteer support and awesome financial support!

A special thank you to Tracey Howard, Jen Nolan, Andrea Lundeberg, Mary Pemberton, Jennifer Kalninowski, Michele Miller, Jacqueline Henry, Carol Parsons, Buck Lilley, Cindy Simrall, Paige Good, Marianne Mabry, The Iorillos, The Watkins', The Isles, Jenni Faires, Linda Peterson, Laura Holmes, Isabel Contreras, Tina McKay, Lisa Tyler, Serena Wailes, Beth Kriebel, and The Coshams for giving of their time, talent and energy for this fundraiser :) Without them, the evening would not have been so nice - so thank you!!!!

You should receive an email from your room mom today, Friday, May 7th, with a form to order your child's matted art work in case you were unable to attend the Art Show. We will fill orders through next Friday, May 14th, if you would like to purchase your child's matted art work.

All unpurchased art work will be unmatted and returned to the students to bring home during the last week of school.

Thank you, again, for your support of our art program. Without the physical and financial support of our parents, our art program would not be close to what it is! We have our parents to thank for that!

Our Students Need THE ARTS!

Arts Education is ABSOLUTELY CRUCIAL for the development of our children, from as early as kindergarten all the way up into higher level education.

An education in Fine Arts encourages:
-more developed habits of critical and creative thinking-more perseverance and dedication to a given task
-better psychological and physical health
-self-discipline, intrapersonal and interpersonal skills

A child who participates in Fine Arts is:
-more likely to succeed academically
-more likely to succeed socially
-more able to express his or herself-inclined to be more literate than his or her peersIf America's children are to be sucessful in all aspects of their life, then an education that emphasizes Fine Arts is crucial.
